Another Big Day - 3rd True Love filming

Today, rather last minute, we decided to film another episode of "True Love is Worth Waiting For." This time, our testimony sharing would be by Eric and Rachel Nelson who just happened to conveniently be in town this weekend. (I've been trying to figure out how to get their story for a couple months now!!) However, we had to start the big day right...so in order to do that, we had everyone over to our apartment for a pancake breakfast. A first since we moved in!!

As you can imagine, Suzy and I were flipping and burning pancakes to beat the band!!! :-) There's lots more I could say about today...but since "Pictures are worth a thousand words" and I'm short on time for words right now...I'll let the pictures do the talking!!

Flipping pancakes for our first big breakfast get-together!

The gang's all here!

Next True Love Filming...No, Not Curtis and Janine!

Our True Love Team for March 25th

God really blessed today, and although it was last minute and we had a small team, Eric and Rachel were a real blessing to work with!! It's always inspiring to see young couples that truly sought to develop their relationship God's way...and the happiness that brings!!

Now, after a busy weekend...getting more settled into our new place...and more CCBN programs, it's back to work for another busy week! Pray for me...that I can be a blessing and encouragement to my patients, and also keep my priorities in line as God leads!

Our new Home!!!

FINALLY!!!! Here are some pics of our new place!!! Sorry I've been sooo slow on getting them up!!! No internet access at our place til next Wednesday.....so you can imagine I have a lot of blogging to catch up on!! :-))))) Anyway, since mom and dad are leaving for a mission trip to Hondurias, I knew I had to get them up before they left!! So that was my extra incentive!! Thanks guys!!

Opening the door with my new key!!

Looking back through the entry way!

Sunny checking things out!!

Sunny is also going to be living with us!! I'm pretty excited about that!!!

View from our living room! Notice mountains in distance! They are more clear without the smog!

Looking down to the living room! Nice and roomy!

Our back patio - small but beautiful!! This looks out the sliding door from the kitchen!!

Our garage with lots of storage space! A good thing for girls like us!

You wanted to see this right?? About as much as you want to see our bathroom!! ;-) Well, no bathroom pics this time....at least not until I get them re-painted and decorated! :-)

Susy and I celebrate our first Sabbath vespers in our new place!

Enjoying my LIFE!!!! The first night we started camping in our livingroom!

Susy and Sunny and I enjoy a Thai supper!

Our HUUUUGE kitchen!

Meet Susy Solomon

This sweet Indian girl is my new housemate!! A friend that I met through Sunny at Advent Hope. Susy is a Registered Nurse going to be working as a Clinical Instructor for Loma Linda's school of Nursing. She also has attended AFCOE, and loves the Bible. She just returned from three months of mission work in her native country of India!! She's bright and cheerful and impulsively fun!! Although we are very different, I think we are going to make a great team!! And we're looking forward to Sunny also coming to live with us sometime in the next couple months! God's hand has obviously been in all the arrangements coming together, and I'm so thankful for how He has blessed!!

Taping as I prepare to paint!

The painting task!

While this place is nice, it did need some work!! The walls in the master bedroom were a yucky blue and had mildew stains, so I spent about 5 hours one afternoon this last week painting!! What a chore!! I love to paint, and have many good memories of doing it with my classmates on our Senior Trip, or helping mom and dad with projects...but I had forgotten how much work it is! Especially when doing it alone! Susy helped with some taping...but I was the only one who dipped my fingers in the paint...as you will see!! Anyway, it's done now, and much nicer and more liveable!

Like my make-up?? :-)

Breakfast in bed! The day we moved the bed to the kitchen so the carpetcleaning guy could clean our carpets!

Susy made pancakes!! Yum yum!! I'll post more pics later when we get more settled and moved in! For now, I hope you all enjoyed the pics...especially Mom and Dad!!!! And Happy Sabbath!

We have found our Mansion!!!!

Well actually....not really!!! But it's pretty nice considering what we need right now!!! And the landlord is awesome. Yes, we have finally found a place to rent...PRAISE the LORD!!! And we'll be moving our stuff over there tomorrow!!!

It's been a long ordeal....but truly I know that God is in control and we are so grateful for how He has led!! (It's actually all a direct answer to prayer!!) I'll write more details later...but for now I just wanted to share the BIG NEWS!!! What a week this has been!!!!!

The Search...

This picture sums up my life right now....not only in the fact that I am in mad pursuit of the perfect place to live...but also in the fact that I feel like my body and time is on "rent" to a dozen different projects, jobs, people and plans! (I'm not my own! My job owns my time now, Creator's Call owns my time....and most importantly, God owns my time!!! But keeping things in proper perspective and priorities in line is rather difficult when you are being pulled in a 100 directions at once!)

In a NUTSHELL:

My new Travel Nurse position, although hectic, is going well, and as I settle more into the routine and flow of things, I enjoy it more! It's definately not an LTAC facility, and that is nice.

Our week of "Restoration" meetings and filming went well here at Loma Linda! Pasot Ivor Myers had an awesome testimony and many fresh inspiring things to share...which I will expound upon more later, if my time ever catches up with my body!

And then the latest time filler and intensity of thought has been in seeking a place to stay!

Suzy and I (a missionary Bible worker and Registered Nurse) are going to be renting together, and we've found a beautiful house that I just adore!!! But it's 4 bedrooms, so we need at least 2 more roommates!! So I'm praying that if it's God's will that we get this place, that He'll open the doors. We've looked at many others as well.....and almost settled on a smaller (but very cute) 3 bedroom Condo. But I didn't feel at complete peace about things, so we let that go! We're going to look at smaller 2 bedroom cheaper places, but also keep praying that if we should get the bigger place, that God could bring together a team of us girls that could really use the space and place for His honor and glory!! I'd like a place to settle more permanently, as I work here with the CCBN ministry...but God knows just what we need, so I'm determined to trust Him!!

So in a nutshell....that's my life and week...and it's almost midnight now, so I need to go to bed, because I'm back to the hospital for another 12 in the morning!!!! Don't have a lot of time to think about more than what I've got to do TODAY!!!

Thankfully our precious Lord only gives us what we can handle..."One day at a time."
